2025-2026 Water Tender Emergency Apparatus

The City of Lyford is requesting sealed bids for one 2025 or 2026 4,000-gallon Emergency Water Tender Apparatus as specifications and design minimums through the Texas Forest Service Program. Please view more information and renderings by clicking on the link below. Please mail sealed bids to City of Lyford PO Box 310, Lyford, Texas 78569 or 13550 Main Ave. Lyford, Texas 78569. Please mark clearly on the packet “Sealed Bid Tender Apparatus” and include any renderings from your company that would be for review purposes. Deadline for bid submissions will be March 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM Central Standard Time.

Property tax payment deadline approaching

The City of Lyford reminds local taxpayers that property tax payments must be received or postmarked by Jan. 31 to avoid penalties and interest. Under Texas law, property taxes become delinquent on Feb. 1. If Jan. 31 falls on a weekend or legal holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day.

When mailing payments, timeliness is generally determined by the postmark date.
